This site was born from my experiences looking for a new task chair for my office. I tried out every task chair I could find and kept detailed notes to help me keep everything straight and ensure I made the best decision.
Sitting in a chair is a very subjective experience so you may completely agree or disagree with what I think. No one can objectively say “this chair is better than that chair” because everyone is different. The reviews here are just my opinions. I’m not being paid or influenced to say anything that I’ve said here, nor do I get paid if you buy any of the chairs I’ve mentioned on this site. I’m just an ergonomics nerd who completely geeked out over the process of shopping for a new office chair and wanted to share my findings with other people who are also currently in the market for a new chair. You should buy whatever chair you like the best and can afford. On that note, I was kind of surprised how expensive some of these ergonomic task chairs can get. Yes, most of them are better than the ones found at your run of the mill office supply store, but I think some of them are also overpriced. If you are going to be spending that kind of money for a chair, it should be as close to perfect (for your needs) as possible.
To help you in your quest to find the one that is best for you, I’ve put together a list of tips on how to choose a chair. There are a lot of features and options and it’s best to have an idea of what you can and should expect from each of the different styles.
